Company Leadership
Meet the leaders building Kahua’s future.
Kahua has been founder-led since 2009, and over time has built a leadership group that firmly believes in Kahua’s vision of enabling the built world to innovate and evolve.
Scott Unger
Chief Executive Officer
Scott Unger is the co-founder and CEO of Kahua, where he helps guide the company’s platform strategy and long-term vision. Since co-founding Kahua in 2009, he has focused on building a configurable platform that gives construction teams more control, more flexibility, and less friction. His work centers on helping owners, builders, and partners manage increasingly complex capital programs with technology that adapts to their processes rather than forcing them into rigid software.
Scott started his career on the contracting side as the co-founder of Nix-Unger Construction, then moved into construction technology with Constructware, where he helped pioneer one of the industry’s early web-based SaaS project controls platforms. After Constructware was acquired by Autodesk, he continued shaping the future of construction technology before launching Kahua with Brian on a new thesis: owners needed a durable, configurable platform built for governance, accountability, and the next wave of innovation. That entrepreneurial perspective continues to shape his leadership, from platform architecture and compliance to AI and long-term customer value.
Brian Moore
President
Brian Moore is the co-founder and President of Kahua, where he helps guide a platform designed to adapt to the needs of construction teams rather than force teams to adapt to software. His focus is on building practical, customer-centered technology that removes friction, creates clarity, and supports better execution across capital programs. At Kahua, Brian plays a key role in shaping the company’s product direction, growth strategy, and long-term platform vision.
Earlier in his career, Brian helped launch Constructware, one of the construction industry’s earliest cloud-based SaaS project-controls solutions. After Autodesk acquired the company in 2006, he joined the Autodesk executive team and continued advancing construction technology at scale. He also co-founded Compliance360, helping organizations streamline and manage complex compliance programs. Across every chapter of his career, Brian has focused on building tools that help teams work with more clarity, more control, and better outcomes.
